3Works ok priced ok too

It does not freeze the IC very solid and the direction state that if your freezer is like a chest freezer or whatever you have to let it freeze for a few days each time! It gets the IC to a shake consistency and then you can pour it into a container to stiffen in the freezer. It auto reverses to work the mix better and it injects a fair amount of air into the IC to make it smooth. Make smaller batches and I think it will do a better job despite the fact that this is supposed to take quite a bit more mix. Say 3/4 or 1 Qt rather than 1.5Qt.

5Great!

This product works great! I love Soft Serve Ice Cream and that is what you get with this machine. You can freeze the ice cream to get a harder Ice cream. If you follow the directions for each recipe as stated, this will work. Great Product for a great price. you can even make Ice cream out of just Milk, sugar and vanilla and it turns out great. Love it!

It has been 6 months since I got this product and it still works great. I just keep the container in the freezer all the time for those moments when I want ice cream right now. I would still have to say that the best Ice cream of all the recipes I have tried so far (alot) is still just milk (or 1/2milk + 1/2 cream) vanilla and sugar is still my favorite!

5we all scream for ICE CREAM
By *JenB*
... I actually bought this a couple years ago, after we had made ice cream several times during the summer. Not having to mess with ice/salt really appealed. We didn't end up using it until this summer (2012) and it has been in constant use! Seriously, every single day. I always have to remember to pop the container back in the freezer so it will be ready the next night. It often doesn't freeze the ice cream that much (and sometimes the kids can't wait and take it out early), in which case it's more like a soft shake. Still delicious. It doesn't make a lot, our family usually finished it all up, although occasionally we've put a bit of leftover in the freezer, and it never lasts long there either.

We went back to the regular bucket ice cream maker once ... it makes more, but after the ease of this, it was such a pain to go back to soaking the bucket, adding the ice and salt, etc. I also like that this lid is clear and you can see the chances/expansion in the ic e cream as it's going (you can't do that in our bucket).

the only drawback is you do need room in your freezer to store the canister. We are lucky enough to have an extra freezer and room so this isn't an issue for us. I'd actually like to get an extra freezer container. I've seen that available in other brands, but not this ... (but I haven't looked that much).
