Product Description

This machine is designed to make it easy for you and your family to enjoy homemade ice cream without the hassle of the old churn style makers. The Secura Ice Cream Maker is all automatic, so all you have to do is mix your ingredients and allow the maker to do its job. In less than 45 minutes, this appliance can make up to 1-1/2 quarts of frozen yogurt, sorbet, gelato or homemade ice cream.

A few of the best features of the maker include a commercial grade self-cooling compressor. You do not have to worry about the hassle of ice and salt like the other makers used to require. All you need to do is follow the instructions for allowing the compressor to cool. Another great feature includes the removable bowl. Once your ice cream is made, you can easily remove the bowl and store the ice cream in the freezer without taking the whole maker apart.

You can add ingredients such as chocolate chip and nuts through the opening on the transparent lid while the unit is in operation. When it comes to mixing ice cream, the Secura Ice Cream Maker has a strong motor and fluid dynamically optimized paddle, allowing it to mix even the thicker creations with creamy texture.

Your Secura Ice Cream Maker is easy to clean as well. The main parts can be taken loose so that you can clean them with warm, soapy water. Just be sure to never immerse those mechanical parts or you could damage the electrical side of the machine. Cleaning is quick and easy with your ice cream maker.

5SO much better than the type you have to put in the freezer!!!
By Gary Mac
I've had this for just over a week and have already made vanilla, chocolate/chocolate chip, blueberry, watermelon sorbet and cantaloupe sorbet. My wife (who is not really an ice cream fan) has been going crazy over the blueberry ice cream.

It couldn't be easier to use and works like a champ. The only problem I've seen (and it really is NOT a problem) is that the times seem to be off. The majority of the times I've read say they take 35-40 minutes to freeze properly and I don't think any of mine have taken less than an hour and some more than that. I had the exact same problem with the Cuisinart machine that this replaced. That was the kind that you had to freeze the bowl first and inevitably the bowl would defrost before the ice cream hardened. With this one, if it takes an hour, it takes an hour...not a problem.

Clean up is easy and fast - and I have requests from friends and relatives piling in so I'll be busy for awhile (I'm keeping our loca l dairy farm up the street in business from buying all of the fresh heavy cream!!).

If you like ice cream (or sorbet, gelato, etc.), this is worth it!!!

UPDATE: After having it for a couple of months now I've really put it through it's paces. I've made easily a dozen different types of ice cream now and while some seem to be a bit more popular than others, they're all a huge hit. It's gotten to the point now where when I make dinner for people they always ask me what kind of ice cream I made for dessert (just a few of the kinds I've made are cookies and cream; peanut butter; cheesecake; cinnamon red hot; apple pie; mint chocolate chip - the list goes on!!!).

Needless to say I am VERY happy with this machine - and I also figured out that if you put less in the bowl at a time, the timings in the book are pretty accurate (I know, it probably seems obvious, but I was just filling it up at first). If you're looking for an ice cream maker that does the job with very little effort and that's inexpensive you can't go wrong with this one!!!

5Easy Operation, Easy Clean Up
By M. Elamrani
I have used ice cream makers in the past. I felt like those machines were nothing but a joke. It took a long time to finish a batch, not mentioning you have to pre-freeze the bowl, and the ice cream they made... it is not even ice cream. Because of this, I found myself using them very rarely, which was an absolute shame considering just how much my family loves homemade ice cream. This is why I am glad that I finally located the Secura Ice Cream Maker. Because this machine is so much easier to use, I find myself making ice cream all of the time.
When I first got my Secura Ice Cream Maker, I took it out of the box with a little trepidation. I was afraid it would be very confusing and more complicated than my old ice cream machine. However, the first thing I noticed was how straightforward and easy to follow the instructions were. I was able to put the machine together within minutes. This was when I realized that I was about to have a much better experience. I started out with very basic ice cream. I decided to try my hand at vanilla because I knew the recipe would be the easiest. I did not want to try anything complicated and then be disappointed as I had been in the past.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the ice cream maker is to operate. Because everything is automated, all I had to do was follow the instructions and I had ice cream churning in a jiffy. Because the machine was so easy to use, I was beginning to wonder where the catch was. Surely, I would eventually find something wrong with it. I just knew it would make a big mess that would take me hours to clean. This was not the case though. Because it uses a removable inner bowl, I did not have to deal with storing the ice cream in the churn, and cleaning up the machine took no time at all.
Because it was so simple to use, I found myself ready to start experimenting with different flavor combination. My family became a taste testing panel of sorts. Some of my conco ctions have been quite unique, but this Ice Cream Maker has a powerful motor that has been able to handle even the thickest of mixtures.
Overall, I am quite pleased with this ice cream maker. It is so easy to operate and so easy to clean up. I imagine I will be using it for years to come.

5It can make some REAL ice cream
By Melinda Cravens
Before I tried this ice cream machine out, I thought all ice cream machines could only make something that looks like ice cream but not really tastes like ice cream. I stubbornly believed that only commercial ice cream machine designed by professionals can make commercial quality ice cream. Btw, I majored in industrial engineering. When my lovely wife asked me to give it a try, I did not let go this opportunity to give her an education ))). It turned out I could not be more wrong.
The first batch we made was the simple vanilla ice cream, just want to give it a test drive. To our surprise, the first ice cream I made in my life is creamy and not anything less than the best ice cream we ever had. And then sorbet easy fast to make and I love the soft fine texture. I have to agree, homemade ice cream is the best!! You can control the amount of sugar, fat, and use the fine ingredient we choose.
Here is in my opinion what it takes to make good ice cream: a powerful com pressor that freezes and thickens ingredients fast, a strong motor that can move the ingredients as they getting hard (if the motor stops, it will into a big chunk of ice, not ice cream) and a good paddle. Ice cream with creamy and consistent texture requires a hell a lot of churning. This ice cream maker has a monster paddle that churns like a champ. I hope I can show you guys a video of it.
