Deceptive Labeling: This is NOT a stainless steel bowl

Maybe like some of you who are reading these reviews, I have been looking for an ice cream maker that has a freezer bowl that is not coated or made of aluminum. Amazon and many other vendors list this item as a stainless steel bowl, but I guess that only refers to the color. I wrote to Cuisinart (ConAir) asking about this replacement bowl and the bowl in the original ice cream maker, and this is what they wrote back: "The ice cream maker bowl is aluminum coated with Xylan (polypropylene) non-stick. The ICE-RFB is the same bowl made with the same material." So please be aware that this bowl is not suitable for anyone seeking to avoid petroleum-based coatings and aluminum food containers.

Great Companion Tool for Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker

Since you want to keep these things in the freezer all the time, having two is sooo handy. Of course, you need the freezer space for them! But this lets you make back to back batches - without waiting several hours for your bowl to refreeze.

Homemade Ice Cream the Easy Way

We like our Cuisinart ice cream maker so much that we ordered a second freezer bowl. We have owned several ice cream makers in the past, but the Cuisinart method of freezing the bowl before making the ice cream has minimized the fuss. We can make two batches in less time than the other makes can produce one.
